Our made-to-measure window security screens for fire escapes are fully compliant with Australian Standards AS 5039, ensuring a custom-fabricated trade solution designed for smooth, reliable operation when it matters most. 

1. Choose your configuration 

To ensure a perfect fit, you can specify the opening direction and hinge placement to suit your window’s functionality: 

Opening direction: Available in both inward-opening and outward-opening configurations. 

Hinge placement: Can be side-hung or top-hung to accommodate various architectural styles and window types. 

2. Select your window mesh infill 

While all our security screens for fire escapes are built for maximum strength, their specific environmental ratings vary by the selected infill type: 

SecureView (316 Stainless Steel): The gold standard for emergency exits. This marine-grade stainless steel window mesh is a fully compliant security screen tested for Bushfire (BAL-40) protection (AS 3959) and Cyclone (AS 1170.2) resistance against high-velocity debris. 

SaltWater Series (316 Stainless Steel): Designed for fire escapes in coastal regions. It provides the same Bushfire and Cyclone ratings as SecureView but with added resistance to salt-air degradation. 

Xceed (Perforated Aluminium): A modern, durable aluminium option that meets all Security Compliance (AS 5039) standards for impact. Please note that Xceed is not rated for Bushfire or Cyclone zones.
